Professional Experience

I joined the Center in the spring of 2007 after completing my master’s research on Florida Bald Eagle migration. At the Center, my research is focused on various raptors species in the Chesapeake Bay region. Prior to joining the Center, I held a raptor research position with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and later moved to the US Forest Service to work with cavity nesting birds in Idaho. I’ve also worked with small mammals in Chile, Florida, and New Mexico. My professional interests include satellite tracking birds, wildlife habitat and sustainable land management practices, avian migratory behavior, prescribed fire, and GIS.

Associate Wildlife Biologist (certified by The Wildlife Society), Conference Chair for Raptor Research Foundation (2009-2012) and on the Board of Directors at Coastal Raptors (2009-present)
