Parents: The adults nesting at Chincoteague have not been identified. The male appears to have been lost early in the nesting season leaving the female to raise the brood on her own.
Hatching Date: Spartina hatched on approximately May 14, 2002.
Brood Info: Four eggs were believed to be laid at Chincoteague in 2002. All 4 of these eggs were believed to have hatched. However, only 3 chicks were present at the time of banding. These included 2 females and 1 male. Females were Myrica and Spartina (moved to Shenandoah and hacked). Male is Teager.
Relocation: Spartina was relocated to Shenandoah National Park on May 28, 2002.
